ArtificialCheese.com: Powered by the Scoop collaborative media application
Flexibility found.
Steve brought his development and design experience to the Apple Mac discussion site ArtificialCheese.com, powered by Scoop, an open-source Perl-based "collaborative media" application.
Steve used experience gained from his work on eyemg.Control and his ever-increasing Perl knowledge to bend (and nearly break) Scoop to his bidding, achieving a stunning site within Scoop's rather rigid design framework.
Most Scoop-powered sites such as Kuro5hin.org, Urania, and SharedWriting.com rely very heavily on the boxed-3-column layout (a comprehensive list of sites powered by Scoop can be found here). Steve strove to make ArtificialCheese.com standout when compared to other Scoop-powered sites.
Note: ArtificialCheese.com is no longer an active project and is not updated by its owners. The site is still up, but doesn't contain live content.
