When things sound too good to be true, they probably are. And about two years ago, thousands of people found that out the hard way when they landed in the Bahamas for what was supposed to be the most luxurious music festival ever produced.
Fyre Festival blew up before it ever began and we all got to see the devastation it left behind in a Netflix Original Documentary that premiered earlier this year. MaryAnn Rolle was never paid for her catering services and spent her entire life savings trying to pay back her employees.

MaryAnn Rolle still has NOT BEEN PAID by the company behind the infamous Fyre Festival. MaryAnn's husband set up a Go Fund Me account, which has generated $200,000 in donations so far. With this money, MaryAnn was able to pay out her staff, but she's still not in the clear.
"With the Go Fund Me I was able to pay all of my staff at Exuma Point and some of my suppliers whom I owe thousands of dollars. I still have outstanding payments and bills, but you want to bless some people and look after them - so what I did is that I tried to offer everyone who helped me at the festival, my staff, and my family members, I tried to offer them all a few dollars. I thought that was the right way to say thank you in a special way. We’re trying to get the other bills under control, but we needed to take care of our people first." says MaryAnn
