Imagine going to prison for a crime you didn’t commit. For my next guest, that was the nightmare he lived for 36 years.
Archi Williams went through that exact experience - now he's a free man! You may be asking yourself, "How can someone serve a life sentence for a crime they didn't commit?
"A woman identified me after being shown my photo three times.. she never said it was me, she said it was someone who looked like me and that was all they had," says Archie
Archie connected with the Innocence Project in 1996 to help him get exonerated after nearly 20 years! This was the longest case the “Innocence Project” has ever worked on. Due to the advancement in fingerprint technology, constant court battles and going through a few judges, Vanessa (Archie's lawyer) was able to finally prove Archi's innocence.
To celebrate Archi's freedom, Steve Harvey reached out to his retail team and he's giving Archie 5 new suits from his Steve Harvey Celebrity Edition suit collection!
That's not all, Steve also reached out to his friends at My Magic Mud - who designs Natural Teeth Whitening Products that are clinically proven and free from harmful ingredients - heard of Archi's story and donated $5,000 and a lifetime supply of toothpaste.
